William Kenneth Herman, Jr.

William (Bill) Kenneth Herman, Jr., 78, of Blackville, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 A.M., Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Denmark Cemetery (North Church Avenue, Denmark, SC). Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North before the graveside service. Mr. Herman was born in Nash County, NC. As part of an Army family, he lived around the world before the family settled in Columbia. SC. He was married to the late Peggy Earline Morris Herman. Mr. Herman and his wife returned to her hometown of Denmark in the 1990’s. He retired from Westinghouse and Savannah River. Mr. Herman was an avid Braves and Gamecock’s baseball, basketball, and football fan, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his mother, Estelle Herman; daughter, Tina (Bucky) Smith; sons, William Herman, III and Michael (Toni) Herman; daughter-in-law, Ellen Herman; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Larry) Rudick; and brother, John (NormaJean) Herman. He was predeceased by his father, William Herman, Sr.; wife, Peggy Herman; and son, Kevin Herman. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
