William Lloyd "Bill" Courtney, Jr.

William Lloyd "Bill" Courtney, Jr., 63, of North, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 13, 2025, at Rocky Grove Baptist Church with Rev. John O'Cain and Rev. Ken Addison officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral on Monday. Burial with military honors will follow the service in the church cemetery. Bill was born in Orangeburg County, a son of Mary Addison Courtney and the late William Lloyd "Bill" Courtney, Sr. He was a veteran, serving 27 years in the U.S. Army and was a member of Rocky Grove Baptist Church. He was an owner/operator at Napa Parts in North, worked at Lowes and Floor and Decor. In addition to his mother, survivors include a daughter, Hannah Courtney; sister, Susan Rudd; nieces and nephews, Brittany Rudd, Randy Rudd, Jr., Angie (Andrew) Suggs, Kayla (John) Riley and Jonathon Rudd; stepdaughter, Dana (Daniel) Gleaton; step-grandchildren, Jaxon Gleaton and Landrie Gleaton; and great nieces and nephews, Sophie Suggs, Hunter Suggs, Harper Riley, Ian Riley and Thomas Riley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rocky Grove Baptist Church Ramp Ministry, 332 Rocky Grove Road, Salley, SC 29137. Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
