William B. "W.B." Adkins

William B. “W.B.” Adkins, 83, of Swansea, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Faith Baptist Church, 123 Faith Church Road, Swansea, SC 29160. Burial will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 W. Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 A.M. in the church before the service. Mr. Adkins was a member of Faith Baptist Church, an avid Clemson fan and a Nationwide Insurance Agent in Swansea for 41 years. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Carolyn J. Adkins; a daughter, April A. Byrd; daughter-in-law, Allen Adkins; grandchildren, Corbin (Holley) Matthews, Cassidy Byrd, Parker Adkins and Logan Adkins; great-grandchild, Chase Matthews; siblings, Faye Crout, Perry (Della) Adkins and Linnie (Doug) Redding; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, W.O. and Katie Lou Redmond Adkins; a son, William B. “Bill” Adkins, Jr.; and brother, Clarke Adkins.
