W. D. "Dub" Bailey

W. D. “Dub” Bailey, Sr., 85, of Swansea, passed away Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Calvary United Methodist Church in Swansea with the Rev. Bruce Rucker and Rev. H. Larry Jones officiating.Burial will be in the church cemetery.The casket will be placed in the church at 10:00 A.M. Mr. Bailey was born in Aiken County, SC a son of the late Kise and Annie Greene Bailey.He was an army veteran of the Korean War and was retired from Argoe Screens.He was an avid Gamecock fan and member of Calvary United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Ivilda J. Bailey of the home; children, Ray (Ilene) Jeffcoat, Petey (Mary) Bailey and Nora Bailey; grandchildren, Jeremy (Beverly) Jeffcoat, Doug (Kim) Jeffcoat, Brandie (Michael) Crider and Dustin (Patti) Bailey; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) and other times at the home of his daughter, Nora Bailey, 255 Copeland Rd. in Swansea.
