Virgil Briggs Templeton

Virgil Briggs Templeton, 74, of Orangeburg, died Sunday, April 13, 2014 at his home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home Chapel in North with Rev. James Williams officiating.Burial will be in the Davis Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Eric Morris and Travis Morris. Mr. Templeton was born in Clinton, SC, a son of the late Ernest and Annie Templeton.He loved racing #23 at various dirt tracks, Alabama Football, Fishing with Wally Sweatman and being with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Davis Templeton of the home; sons, Robert (Linda) Templeton and Carlton (Sarah) Templeton; sisters, Virginia Williams and Annette Metts; and grandchildren, Ethan Templeton, Ryan Templeton, Devin Morris, Dillon Morris and his granddaughter, “Princess” Araina Templeton (PeeWee).He was predeceased by a chosen daughter, Samantha Morris; sisters, Mary Sue Moats and Frances Templeton; and brothers, Wayne Templeton, Jacob Templeton and Joe White. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) and other times at his home, 3993 Cameron Road, Orangeburg.
