Thomas “Tom” Carlisle Williams, 86, of Swansea, SC, died Monday, June 29, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 3, 2015, at Melrose Memorial Garden with Rev. Terry Wilder and Rev. Neal Nolan officiating. Mr. Williams was born in Swansea, a son of the late Cleo and Manila Robinson Williams.He was married to the late Marjorie Ann Williams and Narva Lee Williams.He was a member of Swansea United Methodist Church and served in China and Germany during World War II as a Corporal in the Marine Corps.He learned to fly at the early age of 14 and was an avid flier for all his life.He was the owner of his own plane along with his brothers Frank and Malachi.Tom loved Swansea and spending time with his family.He and his late wife Narva Lee Williams were the owners of Williams Realty and Construction Company. Survivors include daughter, Diane (Tad) Goodwin; son, Tommy (Rose Marie) Williams, Jr. and daughter,Robin (Barry) Williams Glover; step-son, Jimmy (Debra) Hoffman; step-son Kenny Hoffman and step-daughter, Tommi (Gene) Hutto; grandchildren, Randee, Morgan, Robin Bruce, Alice, Brooke, Mallory, Heather, Logan, Brock, Nicole, Carman, Kevin, Lee, Danny, Leeann, Sally, Adam, Chad, David; twenty-six great-grandchildren and a brother, Malachi A. Williams.He was predeceased by step-son, Michael Hoffman and brothers, Walter Cleo, Jr., Ray, Bob and Frank. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) and other times at 190 N. Lawrence Avenue, Swansea, SC 29160. The family wishes to thank Tri-County Hospice, especially, Brandi, Cindi, Marsha and Diane for their loving care.A special thank you goes to his neighbor, Sandra Santaw and Bernetha and Charles Randolph. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210-1790.
