Terry Michael Hutto, Sr.

Terry Michael Hutto, Sr., 69, of Pelion, entered into eternal rest Saturday, December 23, 2023 and is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 29, 2023 at Faith Baptist Church 123 Faith Church Road, Swansea, SC 29160 with Pastor Ken Harmon and Pastor Lee Butler officiating. Burial will follow Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery 1477 W. E. Jeffcoat Road, Gaston, SC 29053. Terry was born on May 28, 1954 in Lexington County, a son of the late Milo Henry “MH” Hutto, Jr. and the late Carrie Elizabeth Stabler Hutto. Terry served as a Deacon at Faith Baptist Church, had a close relationship with God Almighty, and a passion for serving the Lord. He loved all his family, as he would say, “with all his heart” and always wanted to spend time with them. He was a compassionate, loving, and caring husband, father, and grandfather. Restoring old vehicles was a hobby that brought him joy as well as building model cars. Terry enjoyed spending time with his buddies in the model car club and traveling to shows with them. He enjoyed deer hunting, cutting grass, and being outdoors. He never met a stranger and was ready to share a story with a smile on his face. Survivors include his wife of 44 years Faye Mallory Hutto; one son Terry Michael (Adrienne) Hutto, Jr.; two daughters, Holley Hutto (Corbin) Matthews, and Kellie Hutto (Marty) Sharpe; six grandchildren, Kevin Reed Hutto, Ally Claire Hutto, Myla Grace Hutto, Michael Kane Hutto, Chase Michael Matthews and Maelyn Elyse Matthews; one sister Freida (Jerry) Hutto; one niece, Angie (George) Hutto, Jr.; three aunts, Betty (Owen) Heyward, Mickey Hite and Penny Williams; many dearly loved cousins and four great nephews. He was predeceased by his niece Susan Hutto Livingston Boyd. The family would like to thank Trident Medical Center Head and Neck Cancer Specialists, Trident Trauma Center, Lexington Medical Center, Lexington Regional Rehabilitation Center, Prisma Health-Richland, and Prisma Hospice for the care, love, and support provided to Terry and his family.
