Sylvia Spires Jeffcoat, 76, of Swansea, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Sardis Baptist Church in Swansea with Rev. H. Larry Jones and Rev. Dean Reynolds officiating.Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Jeffcoat was born on March 9, 1940 in Lexington County, a daughter of the late Grady Harmon and Eva Mae Lucas Spires.She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Nettie (Michael) Thomas; grandchildren, Nicole Turkaly (Morgan), Samantha Thomas and Michael Thomas, Jr., great-grandchildren, Bryson and McKenzie Busbee; sisters, Gussie Spires, Alma Dial and Janie (Emmitt) Harrison; and a number of nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her husband, Henry M. Jeffcoat; son, Mark Jeffcoat; and sister, Bernice Williamson. Pallbearers will be Michael Thomas, Sr., Michael Thomas, Jr., Andy Crooks, Rick Smith, Lindsey Smith and Tracy Williamson. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2016 at Sardis Baptist Church in Swansea.
