Sarah Marie Perdue

Sarah Marie Hancock Perdue, wife of Ernest Lee Perdue, Sr. went to be with the Lord on October 9, 2024.  She died peacefully at home with her family at the age of 69 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Celestial Memorial Gardens, 3111 Delree St., West Columbia, S. C 29170.  Entombment will follow the service.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home, 4541 Savannah Highway, North, S. C. 29112.

Sarah was born October 31, 1954, to the late William Adrian Hancock and Mary Morris Hancock in Columbia, SC.  She was the oldest daughter in a family of four.  She worked as a Phlebotomist at Baptist Hospital and served our Veterans at the VA Hospital where she retired after more than 20 years of service.

She was a devoted wife for 50 years and loving mother to her sons Kris Perdue and Lee Perdue.  Sarah was also an absolute loving and caring grandmother to her granddaughter Leeah Marie Perdue.

She is survived by her husband Ernest “Ernie” Perdue, her sons Kris Perdue (Celeste), Lee Perdue (Tamara) and her “Grandbaby” Leeah Marie Perdue.  She also leaves behind 3 loving siblings Roger Hancock (Jo), Melissa Wheeler (Dave) and David Hancock (Deborah).

Sarah will truly be missed by all her family and friends.  May she rest in eternal peace in the Kingdom of Heaven.
