Sara Ellen Newman Frick Sara Ellen Newman Frick, 78, of Gaston, S. C., passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023. Ms. Frick was born in Richmond, Virginia, daughter of Rev. M. Douglas Newman and the late Phyllis Ports Newman. She loved her family, tending to her plants, fishing, art, listening to music, horses and especially anything native American. She was a sweet person, who never met a stranger. She loved everything about Jerry including riding his motorcycle and going to car shows. Survivors include her father, Rev. M. Douglas Newman, her children S. Michelle (Tony) Gabbard, Amy Joelle (Bud) Jackson, and Raymond W. S. (Stephanie) Crosby; grandsons, Jay Fisher (Rachel), Austin (Alex) Burdette, Dalton (Shea) Fallaw and Reuben Crosby; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Doug (Sandy) Newman and Mark (Susan) Newman; special friend Jerry Harvell, and her dog Shiloh. She was predeceased by a sister Celeste Smetana.
