Sara Myrtle Shumpert Jeffcoat, 92, of Swansea, died Sunday, August 2, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Berlin Baptist Church 424 Crossthorn Road, Salley.Burial will be in Sharon Crossroads U.M.C. Cemetery.The casket will be placed in the church at 1:00 P.M. Mrs. Jeffcoat was born in Lexington County, a daughter of the late Rudolph and Icoline Rish Shumpert.She was married to the late George Ansel Jeffcoat and was a member of Open Bible Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, George Addison (Shirley) Jeffcoat and James Rudolph (Wanda) Jeffcoat; two daughters, Frances (Junior) Johnson and Lottie (Willard) Rainey; eleven grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, David Hurhett Shumpert.She was predeceased by a daughter, Martha Irene Day; two grandchildren, William Lamar Day, Jr. and Jesse Clarance Wood; and two brothers, Donnie Ray Shumpert and Wilford Lyle Shumpert. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) and other times at the home of Junior and Frances Johnson 177 Thornridge Road, Wagener.
