Mrs. Fanning was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late W. H. Hoover and the late Susie (Bruner) Hoover. Sandra, also known to everyone as ‘Grandma Sandra’, was special to everyone she met. If you called her for help with anything, she would do her best to help as much as she could. Grandma Sandra would also call you and check on you after the fact. She was very adamant about giving back and helping those in need. She was the definition of a selfless women. She was committed to family, making sure that all knew of support to achieve their highest potential. She loved to travel all over. The beach was her favorite place to go. Her favorite memory was her and her late husband going to Tybee Island on their honeymoon. Grandma Sandra missed Pete since the day she said goodbye to him. She loved him more than life itself. As much as she loved her husband and children, she somehow loved her grandkids and great grandkids even more. If you saw her out and about, you would see she had one or more of her great- grandchildren. Grandma Sandra would always take her grandchildren and great-grandchildren on vacations, day trips, out for birthdays, and just to have dinner somewhere nice. Whatever her grandbabies wanted, she got them. Grandma Sandra was extremely loved by her friends and family and will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
