Samuel Hairman Farmer

Samuel Hairman Farmer, 95, of Norway, SC,husband of the late Wynona Giddens Farmer for 72 years, died Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Magnolias of Santee Assisted Living (formally of Tarrytown, FL and Titusville, FL). Born March 2, 1924 in Webster, FL, he was the son of the late Snowden Samuel Farmer, Sr. and Callie Rosella Helms Farmer.He was a US Army veteran of WWII and a retired member of Orlando Carpenters Union of over 40 years.He was dedicated to is faith in God, his family and his country. He is survived by his son, Michael K. (Brenda) Farmer, of Harvest, AL; his daughter Kathy Farmer (Allen) Williams of Norway, SC; daughter-in-law, Gail Brown Farmer of Port St. John, FL; seven granddaughters, Jennifer Farmer, Harvest, AL.; Kimberly Farmer Herring, Port St. John, FL; Heather Farmer (Shawn) Dahl, of Oak Harbor, WA; Keree Farmer Bowers, of Port St. John, FL; Joy Williams (Riley) Godwin of Cameron, SC; Holli Williams (David) Young of Perry, SC; and Stephanie Williams (Richard) Croft of Orangeburg, SC; and eighteen great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Sammy Lynn Farmer; his grandson, Lamar Timmons Farmer and a great granddaughter, Mackenzie Noelle Bowers; six brothers, Louie, Jay, Oakla, S.S.Jr., Jeptha, Robert and three sisters, Ruth, Jewel and his twin sister, Hazel. A memorial service will be held August 30, 2019, 4:00 p.m. at Columbia Road Church of God, 2485 Columbia Road, Orangeburg, SC 29115 with family visitation one hour prior to service at 3:00 p.m.The Reverends John R. Miller, Randall Gideons and Bishop L. Keith Vaughn will be officiating.
