Sammy Wingard

Sammy Wingard, 73, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021. Graveside Services will be held at 4:30 PM, Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Ray Boone officiating. Mr. Wingard was born in Calhoun County, a son of the late Horace Wingard and the late Lily Mae Zeigler Wingard. Survivors include a niece, Carla Rucker and other nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews.Mr. Wingard was predeceased by his wife, Cathy Rucker Wingard; a son, Monday Hope Wingard, two brothers and seven sisters. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until at the home of Carla Rucker, 805 Basil Road, Swansea, S. C. 29106 and also from 4:00 to 4:30 PM, 30 minutes prior to the service at the graveside. Pallbearers will be Austin E. Eden, Matthew T. Rucker, Stephen P. Meetze, Brandon Smith, B.J. Wingard and Mr. Leonard Herlong, long time best friend.
