Sam Jacob “Sammy” Goodwin, 70, of Swansea, died Sunday, March 22, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Calvary United Methodist Church in Swansea with Rev. Bruce Rucker and Rev. Deborah Gibson officiating.Burial will be in the church cemetery Pallbearers will be Duane Goodwin, Lee Goodwin, Bo Goodwin, Dean Inabinet, Jim Rucker and Brad Mack.Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Wise, Justin Craft, Nickie Sturkie, Joey Sturkie, Zack Goodwin and B. R. Jumper. Mr. Goodwin was born in Lexington County, a son of the late Paul Jacob and Margaret Bailey Goodwin.He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include a sister, Mary (Buddy) Inabinet of Sandy Run and a brother, Harvey (Carolyn) Goodwin of Swansea and a number of nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by a brother, Pauless Goodwin and sister-in-law, Shirley. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) and other times at the home of Donna Goodwin, 137 Bailey Road, Swansea, SC.
