Sadie Lee Thompson, 81, of Swansea passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, May 31, 2021 at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, 1845 Cedar Creek Road, Pelion, S. C. 29123 with the Rev. Johnny Slice, Rev. Bill Dulaney and Rev. Ted Miller officiating.Burial will follow at King Grove Baptist Church, 1580 Highway 178, Swansea, S. C.29160.The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Mrs. Thompson was born in Lexington County, a daughter of the late Homer Spires and the late Azalee Bailey.Mrs. Thompson was a member at King Grove Baptist Church and also attended Mt. Hermon Baptist Church.She was retired from Lexington County School food service and was also a home health giver. Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Earl Thompson; children, Ray Spires, Marie (Chuck) Broadfoot, Vickie (Jerry) Frick, Todd Thompson, Allen Reeder and William (Dana) Reeder; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.Mrs. Thompson was predeceased by sisters, Geneva Spires, Beatrice Jackson, Lois Bowen, Joyce Gray and daughter, Marsha Benton. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 30, 2021 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Culler McAlhany Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Larry Poole, Wayne Poole, Tom Learn, Shannon Walker, Stanley Rawl and Doug McCarthy. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to King Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 300 Dale Lane, Cayce, S. C.29033 or Mt. Hermon Baptist Church General Fund, 1845 Cedar Creek Road, Pelion, S.
