Russell Earle Smith

Russell Earle Smith, 61, of Swansea, died on Sunday, January 29, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Swansea United Methodist Church with Rev. Cindy Saylor officiating.The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 P.M. at the church before the service on Saturday.A private burial will be held at a later date. Mr. Smith was born November 8, 1955 in Columbia, SC., a son of the late Lynbert Earle and Mary Lewis Rast Smith, Jr.He was the owner and operator of Swansea Milling Company for many years. Russell had an immense love of fishing, sailing and being in the great outdoors. He will be missed by many wonderful friends and loving family members. Survivors include his son, Brandon Earle (Whitaker) Smith of Columbia, SC; brother, Sydney Lawrence (Betty Ann) Smith of Wilton Manors, FL; and a number of nieces and nephews.
