Ruby Wingard Smith

Ruby Wingard Smith, 69, of Gaston, died Thursday, September 11, 2014. Mrs. Smith was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Horace and Lillie Mae Zeigler Wingard.She was the wife of the late David Leon Smith. Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy McIver and Christalee “Sara” Wingard; a brother, Sammy Wingard; a special companion, Jerome Williams and a number of nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by two brothers, Lewis Wingard and James “Jim” Wingard and three sisters, Ollie Bell Wingard, Lessie W. Williams, Lucille Casey and Sylvia Goodwin. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 14, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) who is assisting the family.
