Ruby Anderson Shannon, 90, fell asleep in death on May 15, 2015.She was born on January 5, 1925, the daughter of the late Henry W. and Katie H. Anderson. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Charles Shannon; children, Wilden M. Geiger, Jr. (Kathy), Rebecca Geiger Addy (Ronnie), Mary C. Geiger Boroughs (Marty), Mark S. Geiger (Judith), 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.In addition, she was predeceased by her first husband and father of her children Wilden (Buddy) M. Geiger, Sr. as well as 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Baptized in February, 1949 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, her greatest love was for her Creator, Jehovah God.She demonstrated her faith and integrity by adhering to Bible principles and sharing her knowledge and love of the Bible with others. Her warm and humble demeanor was loved by all and will be missed by all.As an avid student of the Bible, she believed in the promise made by Jehovah God that the dead would rise again to a paradise earth.This was her hope and she shared this with others as a reassurance of the great love Jehovah God has for her and for all who may fall asleep in death. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) in North, SC.Graveside services will be held Monday, May 18, 2015 at 4:00 PM at Gibson’s Cemetery in West Columbia with a memorial service to follow at 6:30 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in St. Matthews.
