Robert Neal Amaker

Robert Neal Amaker passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, November 1, 2024, at the age of 89. Funeral services will be conducted at First Baptist Church of North 405 Stafford Ave., North, SC 29112 on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation at the same location from 1:00 pm until the start of the service with Rev. Sean McElrath officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Robert is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Shelby Jean Hoffman Amaker; two daughters, Connie (Jimmy) Watterson and Cynthia (Jerry) Hallman; two grandchildren, Lauren Watterson and Michael (Candice) Watterson; two sisters, Annette Roznowski and Martha Rae Downing; one brother, Horace (Jennie) Amaker; and a number of nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, the late Ella Davis Amaker and the late Gurney Horace Amaker; and two brothers, Hubert Amaker and Barry Amaker. Robert was devoted member of First Baptist Church of North where he served as Deacon and Church Treasurer. He was an avid fan of the Clemson Tigers and loved fishing and gardening. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Robert are encouraged to contribute to First Baptist Church of North, P.O.
