Ralph Archer Goolsby

Ralph Archer Goolsby, III, 72, of Orangeburg, SC, died Friday, August 7, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Orangeburg with Rev. Ryan Tucker officiating, assisted by Rev. Kenny Baltzegar and Rev. Chris Crabb.Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.The casket will be placed in the church at 12:00 PM, one hour before the service. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Evans, Guy Best, Dan Watson, Michael Gulley, Blake Bolen and Skip Welch. Honorary pallbears will be the Workers of Edisto Habitat and breakfast friends at McDonald’s. Mr. Goolsby was born in Charleston, SC a son of the late Ralph Archer Goolsby, Jr. and Evelyn Nelson Goolsby.He was a member of First Baptist Church and was the owner and operator of Goolsby and Son Electric from the age of 25.Mr. Goolsby was an avid Carolina fan and did a lot of work for Edisto Habitat in Orangeburg. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Baltzegar Goolsby of the home; daughters, Cheryl (Wesley) Keitt and Michelle Gardner (Russell Breault); grandchildren, Kye (Britany) Keitt, Trenton (Amber) Wolfe, Haven Keitt, Audri and Jackie Breault; great-grandchildren, Carson Keitt, Bryce Keitt and Trevor Wolfe; special great-great neice, Laurie Sprague; son-in-law, Steven Gardner; grands, Emily, Morgan, Kayden and Emalaine and a number of nieces and nephews; two sisters, Margaret (Roger) Wahl and Kathy (Gene) Crabb and brother Fred Marvin (Carol) Goolsby.He was predeceased by a sister, Tina Goolsby.Other survivors are three daughters by a previous marriage, Lynn, Julie and Kellie. The family would like to thank Elizabeth Gray, Paula Keitt, Alice Gray, Johanna Crider and TRMC team, Wendy Dantzler, Buddy Hawkins and the Grove Park Hospice Team for their care during this difficult time.
