Phillip W. “Phil” Mack, 69, of Cayce, SC, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 25, 2014. Mr. Mack was born in Swansea, SC, January 13, 1945, a son of the late P. W. and Nell Davis Mack.Mr. Mack was a member of Oliver Lodge #133, Swansea, SC where he served as treasurer for 28 years.He retired from Brookland-Cayce High School where he was a dedicated teacher for over 30 years.Mr. Mack was known by many and loved by all. Survivors include his wife, Marie Peele of the home; children, Betsy (Steve) Hollis, Rusty (Kim) Mack, Lori (Gerald) Caldwell and Lee Williams; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; four brothers, Bobby (Cheryl) Mack, Jimmy Mack, Tony (Melanie) Mack and Larry (Martha) Mack; extended family member, Casey Clark and a number of nieces and nephews. The family and friends will come together to remember and celebrate Phil’s life from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, November 28, 2014 at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com).Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 30, 2014, at Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church, Leaphart Road, West Columbia, SC with Mr. Luther Harmon officiating.The casket will be placed in the church at 1:00 PM, one hour before the service and at other times at the home on 1925 Rosemary Drive, Cayce, SC. Burial will be in Melrose Memorial Gardens in Swansea, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agape Hospice House and Brookland-Cayce Education Foundation.
