Phillip F. "Big Daddy" Roland

Phillip F. “Big Daddy” Roland, 74, of Swansea, S. C. passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Swansea First Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Wilder, Rev. Matt Elmore and Rev. Frank Shivers officiating. Burial will follow at Melrose Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, at the church.

Mr. Roland was born in Lexington County, a son of the late L. C. “Cowboy” Roland and the late Rosa Lee “Long” Roland. Mr. Roland was a member of Swansea First Baptist Church, Co-Owner of Absolute Realty, a residential home builder and a 40 plus year active board member of Camp Longridge.

Survivors include a son, Phil (Kimberly) Roland, Jr.; grandchildren, Gracie Roland, Jase Roland, Alyson Harden, Kinsey Harden and Jake Harden; and a sister, Francine Roland. He was predeceased by a sister, Sylvia Smith and two brothers, Derrell Lee Roland and Joseph Wayne Roland.
