Pelzie J. Jowers, 89, of Swansea, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Salem Baptist Church in North with Rev. Ronald L. Bennett officiating.Burial will be in the church cemetery.The casket will be placed in the church at 10:00 A.M. Mrs. Jowers was born in Lexington County, daughter of the late Darling Blight and Undine Mallie Popwell Jeffcoat.She was a member of Swansea First Baptist Church and loved her family and pets. Survivors include sons, Rev. Ronald Lee (Eva) Bennett, Samuel Hasten (Sandy) Jowers and Tommy Gene Jowers; daughter-in-law, Catherine Jowers; grandchildren, Darlene Stroman, Fran Brown, Billy Jowers, William Bennett, Christine Jowers, Lee Bennett, Michael Jowers and Dean Bennett; eight great-granchildren; and a special friend, Stephen P. Meetze.She was predeceased by her husband, Hasten Jowers; and a son, Bobby Jowers.
