Peggy Smith Proctor

Peggy Smith Proctor, 80, of the Canaan community passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery, 4977 Cannon Bridge Road, Cope, S. C. 29038 with Rev. Darrell Boyleston and Rev. Bill Watkins officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside and other times at the home of “H.L.” Proctor. Mrs. Proctor was born in Dorchester County, a daughter of the late David Clyde Smith and the late Aimee Dukes Smith. Survivors include her husband, “H.L.” Proctor; daughter, Pam (Mark) Sheetz; grandchildren, Chandler (Whitney) Sheetz, Kayse (Jason) Blackmon and Dillon (Shana) Sheetz; great-grandchildren, Kinley and Colson Sheetz, Maverick and Drake Blackmon, Aubrey Nelson and Kaylee Early; siblings, Anita (Henry) Burnette and Fred (Dot) Dukes and a number of nieces and nephews.
