Osborne Allen Arant

October 28, 1931 — March 27, 2024

Osborne Allen Arant, 92, of North, S. C. passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 30, 2024, at First Baptist Church of North with Rev. Sean McElrath officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, North, S. C.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, one hour prior to the service in the church.

Mr. Arant was born in Orangeburg County, a son of the late Jacob Carroll Arant and the late Sallie Amaker Arant.  Mr. Arant served his country in the National Guard, he attended the University of South Carolina, was a member of the North Masonic Lodge, an avid golfer and horseman and was known for his incredible sense of humor and Southern charm.

Survivors include his Special friend, Michiko Johnston and many nieces, nephews and other family.  Mr. Arant was predeceased by his wife, Cherry Howell Arant and his son, Ozzie Arant.
