Nolan D. Creech

Nolan D. Creech, Sr., 89, of North, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Salem Baptist Church in North with Rev. Randy Lucas and Rev. Rick Jones officiating.Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Mr. Creech was born in Olar, SC, a son of the late Henry Kearse and Orrie Morris Creech.He was a member of Salem Baptist Church where he was a Deacon Emeritus and church treasurer.Mr. Creech served in the Army during the Korean War, retired from Seaboard Coastline Railroad, and owned a lawn care service.He was married to the late Dorothy Louise Fail Creech. Survivors include his daughter, Gail Stroman; sons, Bubba (Jan) Creech, and Andy (Jana) Creech; a daughter-in-law, Jeanie B. Creech; grandchildren, Wendy Chavis, Rusty Sturkie, Todd Sturkie, Brad Creech, Courtney Nelson, Christopher Creech, Tiffany McDougal, Candice Lawson, Summber Garber, Adam Creech and Gage Creech; twenty-one great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Carmen Platt.He was predeceased by a son, Kess Creech; and a great-grandchild. The family would like to extend a special thanks to caregivers Lesley McCollum and Roger Green. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) in North.
