Nancy Ann Estes Sharpe, born on April 4, 1940, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2023, at her home in North, South Carolina, surrounded by her loving family. Her departure has left an immense void in our life, as we say goodbye to a remarkable woman of God. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service and on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, between 5-7 pm at the home of John and Barbara Sharpe. Nancy was born in Memphis, TN to Ollie and Elizabeth Estes, one of six children. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. She cherished her role as a mother and took great pride in raising her children with kindness, and unwavering support, ensuring they always knew how much they were loved not only by her but by our Lord and Savior. Nancy was also blessed with the gift of four beloved grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. She adored each of them and treasured every moment spent together. The memories created with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will forever remain in their hearts as a testament to Nancy's boundless love and adoration. During her lifetime, Nancy faced various challenges, but her resilience and faith in her Heavenly Father were unwavering. Her kind heart and compassionate nature was shown to all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her. She had a knack for making everyone feel valued and appreciated, and her warmth and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression. One of Nancy's greatest passions was serving the Lord. Since she was younger, she assisted her father with many church plants. Over the years, she dedicated countless hours to teaching Sunday school, directing music, playing various roles in church, and volunteered as a librarian at Livingston Christian Academy. She enjoyed cross stitching and coloring pictures. Throughout her extended illness, Nancy displayed immense courage and strength, inspiring those around her with her unwavering determination to live life to the fullest for the Lord. Despite the challenges she faced, she remained optimistic and embraced each day with grace and a smile on her face knowing she would be healed one day—free from pain, free from hurt! As we bid her farewell, let us remember her for the profound love she shared and the light she brought into the lives of others. Left to cherish her memory are her son, John E. (Barbara) Sharpe; daughter, Rebecca A. (Alvin) Pound; grandchildren, Tabbetha (Phillip) Williams, Amanda (Devin) Thompson, Rachel Goodin, and Daniel Pound; great-grandchildren, Summerlyn Thompson, Jonathan Thompson, and Bailey Williams; brother Jim (Betty) Estes; sisters-in-law Shirley Williams and Louise Gleaton.
