Nan Leaphart Cupstid Gunter, 87, of North, SC, died Friday, September 23, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, September 25, 2016, at First Baptist Church of North, 405 Stafford Avenue, North, SC, with Rev. Rick Jones officiating.Burial will immediately follow at Riverside Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM at the church before the service. Mrs. Gunter was born in North, a daughter of Kirk Lemuel and Nessie Boles Leaphart. She was married to the late Jake L. Cupstid and the late Ray B. Gunter. Survivors include her children, Jake Eugene (Sherry R.) Cupstid, Sandra Cupstid Sharpe and Janice Cupstid Newnham (John M) Alford; a step-son,Richard Bernard (Linda F) Gunter; brothers, Joseph Kirk (Joanne P) Leaphart and John Lemuel (Shirley B) Leaphart; grandchildren, Jeffrey C Cupstid, Brian R Cupstid, W. Taylor Newnham and Kayla Sharpe Proctor; great-grandchildren, Trey R Cupstid, Maxwell C Cupstid, Logan R Proctor, Leila A Newnham, and Mason F Proctor who is arriving any day now.
