Myra Turner Strickland

Myra Turner Strickland of North, South Carolina, died Monday, August 3, 2015.Myra (Mollie) was born May 16th, 1926, in Orangeburg, SC. She was predeceased by her parents, David Wesley Turner, Sr. and Lettie Myra Hanna Turner as well as her siblings: David Wesley Turner, Jr., William Sales Turner, Thomas Heflin Turner, Jessie Lucile Pomeroy and Mildred Ruth Turner.She graduated from Orangeburg High School and retired from working in Vital Records at the Orangeburg County Health Department.She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Survivors include a son, Roy Edward Strickland, Jr.; daughters, Susan S. Bolin (Owen) and Myra Edna Strickland; grandchildren, Matthew O. Bolin (Teresa) and Susana B. Lambert (Jamie); Great-grandchildren, Hanna, Joe, Jack and Jesse; sisters-in-law, Amelia Turner and Dorothy Jeffcoat; brother-in-law, Robert Leo Strickland, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M., Thursday, August 6, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2740 Broughton Street, Orangeburg with Bishop Jason Ross Officiating.The Family will receive friends from 1:00-1:30 before the service at the church. Burial will be in Amaker-Harley-Jeffcoat Cemetery near North.
