My Duy Nguyen, 69, of Gaston, SC, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. Mr. Nguyen was born in South Vietnam. Survivors include his wife, Mary Pearl Chavis Nguyen; sons, Dat Nguyen and Phat Nguyen; step-sons, Alton Ray Chavis of Neeses and Lynwood Chavis of Pelion; step-daughters, Mary (Emmett) Chavis of North and Rita Bell of Pelion and several step-grandchildren.
