Mitchell Asbury Lloyd Mitchell Asbury Lloyd, 81, of Gaston, South Carolina passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 11, 2021 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 – 11:00 at the graveside prior to the funeral. Mr. Lloyd was born in Swansea, SC a son of the late Eugene Austin Lloyd and Melba Geraldine Argoe Lloyd. Mr. Lloyd loved Nascar and arguing with the television. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, they called him Deda. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Ruby Lloyd; his three children, Sharon Owens, Mitchell Wray Lloyd, Sherrie Lloyd; four grandchildren, Kevin Lloyd, Nicole (Krae) Ellisor, Marisa Lloyd, Gabriel Lloyd; four brothers Tommy (Nancy) Lloyd, Gene Ray (Sandy) Lloyd, W A (Ethel) Lloyd, Jimmie Lee (Dianne) Lloyd; four sisters, Mary Simmons, Martha (Johnny) Branham, Karen (Wayne) Ramsey, Nickie Lloyd; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Levon Lloyd, Asher Lloyd.
