Michael Eugene Sandy, Sr., 67, of Swansea, SC, died Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, July 3, 2015, at Faith Baptist Church in Swansea with Rev. David Carter officiating.Burial will be in Melrose Memorial Gardens. The casket will be placed in the church at 12:00 Noon, one hour before the service. Mr. Sandy was born in Lugoff, SC, a son of the late George Claude Sandy and Grace Colvin Sandy Taylor and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Swansea.He was married to the late Carol Mitchell Sandy.Mr. Sandy was a Veteran and served his country during Viet Nam. Survivors include his sons, Roger (Cindy) Sandy, Ronnie (Kim) Sandy and Mike (Jennifer) Sandy, Jr.; a daughter, Angelina (Kenny) Johns; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three brothers and four sisters.He was predeceased by a grandson and two brothers. The family will receive friends one hour before the service and other times at the home of Mike and Jennifer Sandy, 1552 Calvary Church Road, Swansea, SC.Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) is assisting the family.
