Meredith Wolfe Rucker

Meredith Wolfe Rucker, affectionately known as “Grandmama”, widow of James Lewie Rucker, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015.She was 96 years old. Born in Swansea, SC on July 3, 1919, Meredith was the daughter of the late Archibald and Freda Wolfe.She was retired from Horseman Doll and was a member of Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Rucker is survived by her four children, James (Judy) Rucker of Cayce, SC, Bruce (Becky) Rucker of Sandy Run, Charles (Jena) Rucker of Sandy Run and Robin (Christy) Rucker of Sandy Run; 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Rucker will be held on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Robbie Hall and Rev. Deborah Armstrong officiating.Visitation will be prior to the service at 10:00 AM in the church fellowship hall.Burial will follow in the Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery.Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) in North is in charge of the arrangements.
