Mary Alice Herron Fields Doyle, 88, of Livingston, SC, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 in her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Harvey Fields and Rev. Eileen Gunnells officiating. The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Sunny Vista Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Friday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North.
Mary was born on April 23, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Grover and Poksie Herron. She was the oldest of nine children. She was a member of the Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church where she taught the adult Sunday school class. On September 10, 1954, she married the love of her life, the late Clyde Fields. together they created a life and a loving family of three sons and one daughter. Mary worked as a seamstress for many years. She owned a business on Main Street in North until she retired. In 1995, she married the late Charles Doyle. Mary loved to sew, work in her flower garden, read her bible, bake, spend time with family and go to church. She was always the same every time you saw her and she never missed an opportunity to let you know that she loved you and was praying for you. She gave her life to the Lord at a young age and faithfully served him her entire life. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
She leaves behind her children, Vinson (Sybil) Fields of Rock Hill, SC, Arlen (Darlene) Fields or Livingston, SC, Mervin ( Patsy) Fields of Barnwell, SC and Alice (William) Bruner of Livingston, SC; siblings, Carrie Herron of Coward, SC, Lester (Patty) Herron of Aiken, SC, Jean (Sam) Holsenback of Aiken, SC, Carolyn Widener of Neeses, SC and Linda (Wendell) Corbett of Aiken, SC; grandchildren, Heather (Jarred) Freeman of Monroe, NC, Stephanie (Moe) Mahaffey of Rock Hill, SC, Dana Fields of Clover, SC, Orval (Amy) Fields of Wagner, SC, Crystal (Ronald) Hill of Neeses, SC, Brandon Chavis of Neeses, SC, Phil (Lisa) Padgett of Graniteville, SC, Jamie (Katelyn) Padgett of Aiken, SC and Jada (Trey) Still of Springfield, SC; bonus grands, Angie (Jason) Rogers of Florence, SC and Cindy Davis of Norway, SC; eighteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family that she loved dearly.
She was predeceased by a still born daughter, Baby Girl Fields; two grandsons, Timothy Joseph Still, Jr. and Dustin Clyde Still; one sister, Doris Ann Baughman; two brothers, Grove Wade "Bubba" Herron and Jerry Bill Don Herron; sister-in-law's, Carolyn Herron and Pearl Herron; three brothers-in-law, Brunson Baughman, William Herron and Larry Widener; and a son-in-law, Gene Perry.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church.
