Mark A. Jeffcoat, 49, of Swansea, died Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 17, 2013, at Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. Dean Reynolds and Rev. Mark Hardenbrook officiating.Burial will be in the church cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 1:30. Pallbearers will be Andy Crooks, Luke Crooks, Ritchie Smith, Tracey Smith, Lindsey Smith and Steve Vivod. Mr. Jeffcoat was born in Columbia, a son of Sylvia Spires Jeffcoat and the late Henry M. Jeffcoat.He was formerly employed by Food Lion and was reared in Cayce before moving to Swansea.He was a member or Sardis Baptist Church. Survivors include his mother of Swansea; one sister, Nettie (Michael) Thomas of Salley; one brother, Jimmy Jeffcoat of Columbia; his beloved Buckwheat; a number of nieces and nephews; a great niece and nephew; and a number of aunts and uncles.He was predeceased by a brother, Robert “Rocky” Jeffcoat. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m., Saturday at Sardis Baptist Church before the service.
