Margie Baughman Chaney

Margie Baughman Chaney, 71, of Neeses, S. C. passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Beaver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 181 Iris Lane, Neeses, S. C. 29107 with Rev. Robert Templeton and Rev. Eileen Gunnells officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside and other times at 143 Viola Dr, Neeses, S. C. 29107.

Mrs. Chaney was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Lafayette (Pete) Baughman, Sr. and the late Violet Miller Baughman.

Survivors include a son, Edgar “Bubba” (Beverly) Gartman, Jr.; a daughter, Marcie Gartman; two granddaughters, Alexandria Gartman and Kimberly Gartman; five grandsons, Justin Gartman, Steven Wilson, David Wilson, Caleb Gartman and Noah Gartman; four sisters, Gail Phillips, Beatrice Cooper, Mildred Hughes and Lizzie Jean Hutto; three brothers, Lafayette (Rae) Baughman, Jr., W. D. (Julie) Baughman and twin brother, Marshall Baughman and numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Chaney was predeceased by three brothers, Monroe Miller, Peter Junior Baughman and Ed Harley and six sisters, Annie Sarah Shuler, Bertie Bell Bruner, Dorothy Brown, Blondell Swicord, Bonnie Mae Miller and Judy Ann Baughman.
