Margaret Johnson Furtick

Margaret Johnson Furtick, 96, of North, died Wednesday, November 20, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 22 at Hopewell Southern Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Bolen officiating.Burial will be in the Salley Oakview Cemetery.The casket will be placed in the church at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Robert Williams, Jamie Marchant, Alfred Banks Camp, Jason Lybrand, Clint Furtick and Travis Furtick. Mrs. Furtick was born in Aiken County a daughter of the late William Broadus and Myrtis Phillips Johnson and was a member of Hopewell Southern Methodist Church.She was married to the late Colby W. Furtick. Survivors include one daughter, Judy Furtick Lybrand of North; two sons, Colby W. “Bud” Furtick, Jr. of Salley and Phil Furtick of Neeses; nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.She was predeceased by a son, Robert Michael Furtick and a grandson, Bryan Colby Furtick. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. before the service at Hopewell Southern Methodist Church and other times at the home, 2146 Ninety Six Road. Memorials may be made to Hopewell Southern Methodist Church Building Fund or to a charity of ones choice.
