Maggie R. Kinney

Maggie Rosa Williams Kinney, 92, of Neeses, died Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 14 at North Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Robbie Parnell and Rev. Ashton Feagin officiating.Burial will be in Kinney Memorial Gardens.The casket will be placed in the church at 3:00 pm. Pallbearers will be Christopher Theodore, Scottie Jones, Jr., Ray Hoover, Dale Theodore, Corey Mize, Craig Hiott and Justin Scott. Mrs. Kinney was born in Orangeburg County a daughter of the late Acey V. and Della Hoover Williams.She was retired from Stone Manufacturing Company and was a member of North Pentecostal Holiness Church.She was honored at a luncheon as the last and oldest daughter of a Confederate soldier in South Carolina.She was married to the late Robert J. Kinney. Survivors include three daughters, Betty Knight, Janice Hiott and Alice Chavis; granddaughter/daughter, Teresa Allman and grandson/son, Richard Tutherow all of Neeses; a son-in-law, Larry Chavis; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by a son, James “Skippy” Grimes and his wife Patricia Grimes; a daughter, Barbara Chavis and a son-in-law, Tommy Hiott, Sr.She was the last of her siblings. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Friday, June 13 at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) and other times at the home of her daughter, Janice Hiott, 668 Fire Tower Road, Neeses.
