Linda Carol Chavis

Linda Carol Chavis, 67, of North, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 16th at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bobby Williams officiating. Mrs. Chavis was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of Evelyn Yancy Bates and the late Leroy Bates.Mrs. Chavis was retired after 26 years from DHEC. In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Henry Chavis; a daughter, Jennifer Chavis; a son, Henry Albert Chavis, Jr.; sisters, Judy Hilderbrand, Margaret Gladden and Jean Heckle; a sister-in-law, Betty Chavis and a number of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by a brother, Glenn Bates. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, March15th at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com). Memorial may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
