Lee Clinton Etheredge 52, of Aiken S.C., died August 17, 2014.Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Swansea United Methodist Church, with the Reverend David McManus officiating.Burial will be at Melrose Memorial Gardens, Swansea, S.C. Lee is survived by his wife Debbie McConnell Etheredge, daughter Leah Etheredge, parents Billy and Dot Etheredge, sister Lisa (Andy) Knight, niece Andrea Knight and nephews Cameron and Thomas Knight. As a child Lee was a member of Swansea United Methodist church, where he was active in church school and youth activities.As an adult he joined Trinity United Methodist Church in Aiken.Lee was employed as an Electrical Engineer at Savannah River Site Lee was a graduate of Swansea High school where he played football.He was a devoted Tiger fan and loved attending SHS football games and wore the latest “Tiger” apparel.He loved the outdoors; and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shrimping.Lee was a gifted musician with the ability to read music and play by ear.He played keyboards in several Bands. The family will receive friends at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North, S.C. (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, August 22nd. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 1003 Hammond Road SW, Aiken, South Carolina, 29803 or to the Swansea Community Methodist Men, an outreach ministry of Swansea and Calvary United Methodist Churches.The Swansea Community Methodist men annually award a scholarship to a Swansea High School senior honoring Lee’s father, Billy Etheredge.
