Latrell Susie Bolton

Mrs. Latrell Susie Rutland Bolton, 95, of North, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. She was the wife of the late Thomas Henry Bolton.

Latrell was born in Norway, SC on August 29, 1928, to the late Eugene Patrick and Inez Foster Rutland. She loved traveling with her family and friends, especially to the NC mountains. She was known for her love of sewing, playing cards, and going to “The Giant” for dinner.

She is survived by two sons, Steve McKinley Lawson (Martha) of Springfield, SC and Danny Ray Lawson (Ginny) of Pelion, SC; two daughters, Ann Lawson Young of Orangeburg, SC and Brenda Lawson Bentley of Aiken, SC; one step-son, Terry (Susan) Bolton of Easley, SC ; eight grandchildren, Steven Mark Lawson of Aiken, SC, Kevin McKinley Lawson (Amy) of Williston, SC, Tommi Jackson Jones (Jay) of Clemson, SC, Celeste Young Robertson (Jay) of Orangeburg, SC, Trent Bryant Jackson (Carla) of North, SC, Shea Amanda Hause (Zach) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Joshua Daniel Lawson (Susie) of Fountain Inn, SC, and Sabrina Maria Lawson of Bamberg, SC; step-grandsons, Kyle Henry Bolton of Greenville, SC and Heath (Michelle) Bolton of Easley, SC ;  a sister, Doris Rutland Bolin of North, SC; 13 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and special church members.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara Jean Lyle; brothers, Tom, Jack, Jimmy and Lloyd Rutland; sisters, Claudette Williams, Vera Williams, and Clarice Williams; and stepson, David Henry Bolton.

Funeral services will be held at 3 pm, Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Ken Jernigan and Rev. Benjamin Smoak, officiating. Burial will be immediately after the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 pm, one hour prior to the service at the church.  Honored to serve as pallbearers are Trent Jackson, Kevin Lawson, Jay Robertson, Jay Jones, Josh Lawson, and Kole Lawson.
