Katie Lee Walling

Katie went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, September 16, 2023 at North Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Roger Smoak officiating. The casket will be place in the Church one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in North. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Friday, September 15, 2023 at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North. She was the daughter of the late Marcus and Betty Walling and biological daughter of the late Carl “Bunk” Sharpe. She was a member of North Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Beaver Creek Indians. Katie also loved hunting, fishing, traveling with her family and was also a retired truck driver for 23 years. Survivors include her siblings, Martin (Aretha) Walling of Chesapeake, Va., James Walling of North, Jack Walling of North, Nancy Richardson of North, Melinda (Larry) Perea of Aiken and John Wayne (Traci) Sharpe of Saluda; very special aunt and uncle, Paul Ray and Becky Sharpe; special cousins, Tim and Amanda Mulkins; a very special friend, Diane Smoak; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a brother, Marcus Eugene Walling; and son, Brandon Blease Jackson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Pentecostal Holiness Church.
