Joyce Steele Neese

Joyce Steele Neese, 93, of Swansea passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022.

Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Good Shepherd Memorial Cemetery, 160 Swansea Road, Swansea, S. C. with Rev. John C. Derrick officiating.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 3:45 PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 295 West Lady St., Swansea, S. C.  29160 and other times at the home of Kirk Neese.

Mrs. Neese was born in Lexington County, a daughter of the late Webster M. Steele and the late Lillian Crout Steele.  Mrs. Neese was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother, loved flowers and was an avid gardener.  She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and a member of (WELCA) Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Wilmer R. (Billy) Neese; sons, Jeffrey (Donna) Neese and Kirk (Denice) Neese; grandsons, Matthew L. Neese and Brandon Neese; step-grandsons, Hunter Kelly and Coty (Ema) Kelly; step-great grandson, Authur Kelly; a brother, Coolidge Steele; sister, Grace Harmon and a number of nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Neese was predeceased by sisters, Jewel Steele Derrick and Sylvia Steele and a brother, Adam Heyward Steele.

The family would like to thank the staff of Carolina Gardens Lexington and Agape Hospice.
