Joseph Gaston Prevatte

Joseph Gaston Prevatte, 76, of Sandy Run, S. C. passed away on March 6, 2024.

Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Beulah United Methodist Church, 1577 Old State Road, Gaston, S. C. 29053.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, one hour prior to the service in Beulah United Methodist Church.

Mr. Prevatte was born in Columbia, S. C., a son of the late Gaston Fairley Prevatte and the late Betty Miller Moorer Prevatte.  He was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church, Islar Lodge #177 in St. Matthews and a veteran, serving his country in the Army during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Frances Watts Prevatte; a son, Travis E. (Kelley) Prevatte; sisters, Sarah (Marvin) Rish, Caroline (Larry) Slice, Patricia Jumper and Becky Crider; four grandchildren, Alexandria Prevatte, Kendall Prevatte, Trenton Ashley Prevatte, Jr. and Gavin Prevatte and one great grandchild, Bayleigh Myers.  Mr. Prevatte was predeceased by a son, Trenton A. Prevatte, a sister, Margaret Ann Rucker and a brother, Eddie Clifton Prevatte.
