John I. Salley

John I. Salley, 86, of North, South Carolina passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Riverside Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Toy officiating. Mr. Salley was born in Orangeburg County, a son of the late George William Salley and the late Marie Wolfe Salley.He was a lifelong member of the North Volunteer Fire Department and was married to the late Jean Cooper Salley. Survivors include his children, Karen (Jessie) Bell, Deborah Salley Cook, Brenda S. (Barry) Austin and Sara Jean Salley; grandchildren, Chip (Janet) Bolin, Matt (Jessica) Bolin, Suzanne Cook Reed, Ashley (Chad) Keown, Kathryn Cook (Bubba Collins) and Katie Sutcliffe; and great-grandchildren, Savannah Reed, Haley Keown, James Bolin, John Martin Bolin and River Collins. The family would like to thank all of his special friends who took the time to stop by "His Office" and visit with him through the years. Honorary Pallbearers will be former and current members of the North Volunteer Fire Department, Thomas Sturkie, Tommie Cook, Don Nettles and Bill Salley.
