John Franklin Richardson, Sr.

Johnny Franklin Richardson, 78, of North, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Riverside Cemetery in North with Rev. Sean McElrath officiating. The family will receive friend thirty minutes prior to the service at the cemetery. Survivors include his son, John Franklin Richardson, Jr.; aunt, Diane Wise; uncles, Paul Wise and Wendell Lee Richardson; cousins, Paula Wise Woodle and Kristy Wise (Andy) Strickland. He was predeceased by his wife, Nina Greene Richardson, daughter, Nina Carolyn Richardson, and son Wilfred North Richardson. Johnny was born in Aynor, SC and attended school in Conway. More recently, he had assisted in the care of his wife Nina prior to her passing. He was a caring father and loving husband. Johnny enjoyed watching old westerns and pro wrestling amongst other things. He enjoyed working outside with his hands most of all. Prior to the time when his health began to decline, there was hardly a day that went by where he wasn’t outside working on something. Over the years, he had been involved with car and home repair, HVAC, electrical and plumbing installation and repair to name a few things. He loved his family and cared for everyone dearly.
