Eugene Allen Petrey, Jr.

Eugene Allen Petrey, Jr., 77, of Swansea, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Gaston 121 Oakey Springs Road, Gaston, SC 29053 with Rev. Brady Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM prior to the service. Mr. Petrey was born on March 19, 1946 in Norton, Virginia, a son of the late Eugene Allen Petrey, Sr. and the late Samantha Cupstid Petrey. He owned and operated E.A. Petrey Bookkeeping and Accounting for over 45 years. He was a loving husband, father and Papa and attended First Baptist Church of Gaston. Survivors include his wife of 42 years Angela Jett Petrey; one son Justin (Jennifer) Petrey; one daughter, Emily Petrey; and two grandchildren, Carly Petrey and Josie Petrey; one brother, William Mark (Donna) Petrey; one sister Sana (Dwight) Efird. He was predeceased by his brother, John Petrey; and his sister, Brenda Roach.
