Jessica Sturkie Smith, 37, of Swansea, SC, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 23, 2018, at Faith Baptist Church, 123 Faith Church Road, Swansea with Rev. Charlie Young officiating.Burial will be in Southland Memorial Gardens in West Columbia.The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Mrs. Smith was born in Columbia, a daughter of Janice Anderson Sturkie and the late John Edward Sturkie.She was an advocate for the American Heart Association and also for the LVAD program through Richland Memorial Hospital.She was a devoted and loving mother and wife. Survivors include her husband, Jason Smith; children, Rebekah Smith, Abigayle Smith, Richard Williams, III, Caleb Smith and Aaron Goolsby; brother, Jason (Jessica Braxton) Sturkie and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) and other times at the home located at 781 North Brecon Avenue, Swansea, SC.
