Jerry Lindsey McGuire, Sr., 71, of Gaston, SC, died on Tuesday, July 12, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 15, 2016 at St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. H. Larry Jones officiating.Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. McGuire was born in Columbia, SC, a son of the late William Robert and Lottie Lanite Revels McGuire. Mr. McGuire was retired from the Navy.He reached the grade of E-6 and during his career he served during the Vietnam War.He will be buried with full military honors.He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Survivors include wife, Linda Sue Hutto McGuire; sons, Jerry McGuire, Jr. and Billy McGuire of Gaston, Joseph P. McGuire and David P. McGuire of Swansea; daughter, Shea Marie Tucker (Wayne) of Sandy Run; brother, David Findley of Charleston; sister, Gina Kyzer of West Columbia; brother-in-law, Junior Hutto of Blythwood; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchild and a former daughter-in-law, Becky McGuire of Lexington, SC.He was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Ann Jackson. The family will receive friend’s Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Church from 10:00 until 11:00 AM , one hour before the service.Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome) of North is in charge of arrangements.
